Cholesterol-Lowering Supplements

Cholesterol supplements are quite effective especially if taken over a period of 3-6 months. Some supplements that lower cholesterol like Niacin should be taken with caution as they can lead to stomach pains and should only be taken with food.

Core Cholesterol Lowering Supplements:

Core supplements MUST be there for your supplement routine to be effective.
  • Red Yeast Rice: This is very effective and some research has demonstrated that it can be as effective as statins. It however has to be taken with CoQ10 and you will find it is seldom formulated without CoQ10.
  • Niacin: This is a Vitamin-B Complex vitamin that can rapidly lower bad cholesterol and triglycerides. Only take Niacin with food and we do not recommend taking it due to its strong acidic properties. It can irritate the stomach or even cause ulcers if not taken with food but it works fast and effectively if tolerated.

Primary Cholesterol Supplements:

Primary supplements are support supplements that work well with core supplements for faster, safe, and sustained long-term benefits.
  • Garlic: Garlic is known for its multiple cardiovascular health benefits. Garlic is also great as a blood pressure-lowering supplement.
  • Psyllium Husk & Glucomannan are in the same category. These are soluble fibers also very effective in weight management and waistline reduction.
  • They are also effective in blood glucose-lowering properties. Soluble fibers are not only good for lowering cholesterol, they also help in lowering glucose levels, and belly fat, aid in regularity, and relieve constipation, especially in the elderly. The best soluble fibers include psyllium husks, Inulin, and Glucomannan, a highly rated soluble fiber also used in weight loss.
Cholesterol Supplement Stack should have at least 1 Core supplement and at least one primary.
